Light bulb won first place in the Jono Dry contest organized in collaboration with one of the best  company  regarding art materials, Faber Castell.

Like most of my compositions, this one represents a symbolistic vision that suggests the difficulties of adults to integrate into society once they experienced bullying in childhood; bullied children are often also the most special ones. As a result, they channel all their suffering and frustration into something that brings joy and peace. However, the hatred of surrounding people leaves deep traces which cannot be cured. Hence, they become psychologically affected adults who find it very difficult to integrate into the world we call normality. To conclude, they will share their brilliant ideas and talent with difficulty because the evil of the past has taught them a lesson of survival – silence.

Symbolic elements:
– ‘light bulb’ – inferiority
– the firefly – the rarity and beauty of ideas
– the bionic arm – society’s resistance to maintaining silence
– the human arm placed under the bionic arm – yielding to the pressure
– the blindfold – isolation and the choice to no longer see the incompatibility with the world around

Due to the fact that this work is not available for sale, I chose to highlight the most important symbols in the composition. In the end it was an honour for me to participate in Jono Dry contest and winnning the 1st place was very motivating, pushing me further in achieving my goals.
